Chefchaouen

Another pit stop - we had some pomegranate as we enjoyed this view. The pomegranate was really good. I know people when they travel they always say it was the bestttttt pomegranate everrrrrrr! Well I will say it was pretty great haha.

Moulay Idriss - We arrived here first. We took a private car from Casablanca. My luggage didn’t make it on my flight, I had a 10 minute lay over I never knew I could run that fast. And when we got to Moulay it was around midnight and the driver a man and a local man guided us two asian girls up this alley street to get to our Riad. It was terrifying, I prayed the whole way up following them just sayin God, you gave us Jesus the Messiah, you said blessed am I, this ain’t where you taking me, you got a plan let’s gooooo! We made it. Thank you Jesus! I felt really off before this trip too. But nothing drastically difficult occurred during this trip.

Meknes . Heri es-Souani - They used to store grain and horses here. Honestly I didn’t do much listening during this tour. The tour we joined was through Intrepid North Morocco for 9 days. “Discover colourful Casablanca, Rabat , Fes, Chefchaouen and Marrakech”

Chefchaouen - This blue city. We were so excited to see the blue city! It was really cloudy and rained a bit when we arrived. Surprisingly, that didn’t stop me from exploring the city and getting my nikes wet, freezing my butt off. It felt like a November weather in NYC. It was cold. We got sunshine for an hour or two, but otherwise it was cloudy and drizzly. But if you’ve seen my files from Colorado, I guess my camera enjoys cloud. Rain or shine Chefchaouen is a must see. It is a blue dream.

Chefchaouen - It was this gloomy. There are many exposures within these frames. This is a scan of 4 different frames. I shoot a lot of overlapping, double triple quadruple exposures. Sometimes, I wind the film and I’m not exactly sure where I am in the roll, but I just shoot. It’s pretty bold, but I know that if it’s a shot that is bound to be formed, I know i’ll be dumbfounded again and again. I’m just a vessel. Thankful to be in this moment of freely creating and letting go with film.

Decor

Tangier - Camels! In Tangier. During the trip, I found out Tangier is one of the richest cities of Morocco. These houses looked like they had the 90210 zip code. We didn’t explore much, but just drove around. Wish I went trick or treating, back in the day when you go trick or treating in BH they would give you dollar bills. Aright we goin off..

Marrakesh - Plants - the children of our generation.

Marrakesh - One odd thing that did happen was in Marrakesh. Me and Kat (short for Katherine) were followed by a teenage boy. He said there was prayer so the road was closed. So he guided us to a more secluded path. I prayed again. I aint kidding. I ignored, Kat was being nice until I said ignore! Then they got kinda pissed that we didn’t give them any money. Another kid came up to defend this kid. They said give my friend money! And Kat got kattttttyyyyy stood up for herself and I think she just gave him a cigarette. And we kept walking. But yea I was praying with them people on the streets. Nah G, you got a plan. Thank you for letting me drop down in prayer. Every day, I underestimate prayer, but at times like these it reminds me it is the first response.

Marrakesh

Marrakesh - When you really just copy and pasted Marrakesh and still debating whether you should change it to Marrakech… This is where I …. stole a magnet. I KNOW! But in my defense I was waiting for the seller for a while. I legit even took this picture…. and double/triple exposed on it too…. I just couldn’t find them. I waved the magnet around too. Later on, I get charged double on my Oreo ice cream bar so I think me and Morocco are gravy….

Essaouira is the beach city a little shy of 3 hours away from Marrakesh. The buildings are all white and some blue. Feels like Greece, kinda. I haven’t been to Greece. Anyone wana fund Greece?
